In the last year that the K to 12 Basic Education program has been fully implemented, we have seen many changes that have and will continue to affect the higher education landscape. In this regard, the Commission began the regional roll out of CHED Transition Talk 2017.
The objective of the forum was to equip Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and their faculty and staff with the proper information that would (1) aid in the strategic institutonal and faculty development planning during the transition period; (2) encourage all stakeholders to uphold and protect the rights of labor; (3) increase access to the government support programs for deloaded and displaced HEI personnel; and (4) gather information on other issues and concerns that arise from the changes in higher education.
