In view of expanding opportunities for qualified faculty and staff to pursue graduate studies abroad during the Kto12 Transition Period, CHED has forged partnerships with several scholarship awarding organizations. These scholarships are available to college faculty and staff only, and the allotted slots for these partnerships are separate from their respective open category applications.

The United Board – CHED Faculty Scholarship Program supports promising young faculty in the Philippines in pursuing advanced degree study, taught in English in an Asian country outside of the Philippines. These scholarships help developing colleges and universities nurture junior faculty members and advance whole person education. They support individuals in strengthening their academic qualifications and enhancing their teaching, and they also foster academic networks among Asian universities.

Each institution can nominate up to three candidates for the scholarship.

The CHED-CBIE Scholarship for Graduate Studies in Canada is a scholarship program designed for faculty and non-teaching staff of Philippine Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).

This program will bring twenty Filipino scholars to Canadian institutions for a one (1) year period, starting in September 2017, to study at a Doctoral or Masters Level.

The program is entirely funded by the Commission on Higher Education, which has entrusted the management of the program to the Canadian Bureau for International Education.
