Full Support for Foreign Master’s and Doctoral Studies

As part of the recently forged partnerships between the Commission on Higher Education and several scholarship awarding organizations in view of expanding opportunities for qualified faculty and staff to pursue graduate studies abroad during the K to 12 Transition Period, the Commission reiterates the availability of the following full support scholarships abroad:

Grant Inclusion The grant provides for:

  • round-trip international travel
  • monthly maintenance allowance
  • tuition and fees
  • book/supply allowance
  • health and accident insurance
The scholarship covers:

  • tuition
  • nonacademic fees required by the host institutions (e.g. health insurance, student services dues), accommodation and living allowance
  • one round-trip international ticket (round-trip local transportation, if applicable)
  • visa fees
Scholarships are valued at up to 300,000 AUD for a 4-year PhD and up to 200,000 AUD for a master’s degree covering:

  • return air travel
  • a one off establishment allowance on arrival
  • full tuition fees
  • contribution to living expenses
  • introductory academic program
  • overseas Student Health Cover for the duration of the Scholarship
  • supplementary academic support and
  • fieldwork allowance–for research students and masters by coursework which has a compulsory fieldwork component
Duration Maximum of 1 academic year for non-degree and 2 years for Master’s/PhD’s Grantees showing satisfactory progress in their doctoral programs generally may renew their scholarships for a maximum of four years; master’s level students may receive up to two years of support. Minimum period necessary to complete the academic program as specified by the academic institution, including any preparatory training
